Nonprofit groups dont have the workplace policies or flexible scheduling to attract or retain a growing number of mature workers to their organizations, according to a new report released this month by The Conference Board. The report hinges on the retirement of Baby Boomers 77 million strong who will be leaving the workplace over the next 10 years. Baby Boomers, that demographic swath born from 1945 to 1965, intend to stay active by working, even in part- and full-time positions after ending their primary careers, and many will look to social and mission driven nonprofits for work with a cause.
